Today, in honor of all 46 past and present presidents, businesses and schools are closed for Presidents' Day. However, this Presidents' Day highlights a unique connection between the history of President Joe Biden and Abraham Lincoln.

Recently discovered documents at the National Archive reveal Lincoln granted a pardon to Biden's great, great grandfather, Moses Robinette.

Robinette was involved in a brawl between two union army civilians during the civil war and stabbed one of them. However, after three army officers petitioned Lincoln on behalf of Robinette, he was eventually freed from prison.
