SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Two Shippensburg student athletes were announced recipients of the 2021-2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Fall Top 10 award.
Shippensburg junior Chayce Macknair was named the PSAC’s most outstanding runner for men’s cross country after winning the PSAC championship with an 8K time of 25:47.
He is Shippensburg’s first men’s cross county athlete in forty-one years to win the championship.
And for the field hockey team… Shippensburg junior Jenna Sluymer ranked second in the nation in goals per game and points per game and seventh in assists per game.
Sluymer is a two-time All-American, a three-time all PSAC Selection, and is the first SU field hockey honoree for the award since 2014.
Macknair and Sluymer are the 44th and 45th unique raiders to receive a PSAC top 10 award.
