SHIPPENSBURG - On Saturday, Cardaci and the Raiders hosted the 25th ranked IUP Crimson Hawks. The Raiders looking to break a losing streak, took an early lead ten minutes in but was down 6-4 at the half.
After a second half comeback, the raiders tied the game up at 13 a piece and sent the game into overtime. But it was the Crimson Hawks who came out on top in the end after a false start that led to the game winning goal, beating Shippensburg 14-13.
Looking to get back in the win column, Cardaci and the Raiders traveled to Greensburg on Wednesday to play the 21st ranked Seton Hill Griffins. After a rocky start that put the Raiders behind 7-2 with 10 minutes remaining in the first half, Shippensburg held the Griffins to just two more goals over the last 40 minutes.
Cardaci scored twice helping the Raiders complete a comeback and beating the Griffins 10-9.
Shippensburg (2-1) returns home on Saturday to play the 23rd ranked New York Institute of Technology at 1 p.m. looking to add on to their winning streak.
