A man was killed in Carlisle on Saturday following an altercation with borough police on the 300 block of C Street. The man has now been identified as 33-year-old Nathaniel Law Liberator, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
The Carlisle Borough Police Department was called to the scene in response to a disturbance earlier Saturday. An altercation ensued between Liberator and the officers, resulting in shots being fired. Liberator was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pennsylvania State Police responded in the aftermath of the shooting and closed off multiple streets in Carlisle around 3 p.m. The Troop H Case Team is investigating further into the incident, according to PennLive.com.
According to Liberator's LinkedIn profile, he graduated from Shippensburg University in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Sciences. He was working as a security guard for Allied Universal in Carlisle, according to his LinkedIn page as well.
Details have yet to be released at this time regarding what led to the shots being fired, and the names of the officers involved have not been released either.
